Writing Essay Contest To Win a trip to New York for Three Days and a $2,500 Savings Bond

In an effort to spur students on to achieve their dreams through the pursuit of education, the Olive Garden is sponsoring it’s annual Pasta Tales essay contest. The writing contest runs from November 8 through January 21, 2011 and invites students from first through twelfth grade to share their stories in 50 to 250 words. The topic is “Describe how furthering your education beyond high school will help make your dreams come true.”

The contest is open to U.S. and Canadian residents. The grand prize winner of the writing contest will receive a three day trip to New York City which includes dinner at the Olive Garden in Times Square and a $2,500 savings bond. There will be a writing contest winner in each grade category. Those essay contest winners will receive a $500 savings bond and a family dinner at their local Olive Garden restaurant.

Entries must include the writer’s first and last name, complete address and phone number, grade level, date of birth including year and a statement verifying that the work is his or her own. Entries must be received online or postmarked by January 21, 2011
